Options for your benefits

On this page you can find out about all the options you have for your Credit Suisse Section benefits.

In the UK, you have access to a range of retirement options, offering flexibility to meet your needs in retirement but not all these options are available through the Credit Suisse Section, as the Fund (now the Plan) was set up before some of these options were introduced in 2015.

Your Credit Suisse Section options

If you have DC benefits only

If you joined the Plan after 1 January 2000, you will only have benefits in the DC Plus section of the Credit Suisse Section.

If you have DB benefits only

If you were a member of the Plan before 1 January 2000, you may have built up a DB pension in the Credit Suisse Section.

If you have DB and DC benefits

If you joined the Plan before 1 January 2000 you may have DB and DC benefits, known as “hybrid” benefits.

If you don’t know:

what kind of benefits you have in the Credit Suisse Section; or
your Normal Retirement Age, or Selected Retirement Date for DC benefits

Things to consider

Retirement options outside the Credit Suisse Section

You will need to transfer your benefits out of the Credit Suisse Section and into another pension arrangement to access these options.

These can be found on Fidelity PlanViewer’s home page when you log on, and on the “Planning & Guidance” and “Tools & Calculators” tabs. (They can also be accessed via https://retirement.fidelity.co.uk/ without the need to log on to your PlanViewer account.)
